Sunday, September 12: An Interfaith Service of Remembrance will be held at 3 PM at St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral, 221 N. Front St., Harrisburg. On this anniversary of 9/11/01, the theme is religious teachings of non-violence and will include brief readings and reflections from various faiths represented in our community. Osho Brooke Wiley will participate on behalf of the Blue Mountain Lotus Society. A reception will follow.

The workshop "Meditation Six-Pack: Refresh Your Heart and Mind!" will be held Saturday, August 7, 10 AM-noon at 156 W. Pomfret Street, Carlisle. Learn six meditation pick-me-ups and brain-trainers that can help both in the moment and strengthen neural pathways. The workshop includes a chance to learn and practice all the methods, handouts and discussion. A light lunch follows! It is taught by Osho Ginny Parkum, instructor with The Blue Mountain Lotus Society and the Mohler Center, Hershey. Cost of the workshop is $30. Art Show
Zen Brush: A Way of Art and Life, an art show of the works of Harrisburg artist and zen arts teacher Virginia (Gin) Parkum opens Friday, September 3, at the New Beginning Gallery at Hager, 25 West King Street, Lancaster, with a reception from 5-8 PM. The artist, an ordained Zen teacher, will talk about Zenga, the way of art that incorporates meditation and an aesthetic of simplicity, naturalness and impermanence.
